UNDERCOVER cops have nabbed 83 motorists driving with telephones and with out seatbelts in three days through the use of a 'pretend' HGV.

The force set up Operation Tramline with Nationwide Highways and Nationwide Roads Policing Operations and Intelligence utilizing an unmarked HGV on the M4.

In simply 72 hours, cops slapped motorists with 83 offences – principally for drivers using their telephone behind the wheel and never sporting a seatbelt.

"The HGV provides us an elevated view into automobiles using this busy stretch of street so we will higher detect offences corresponding to mobile phone use," PC Luke Hobbs stated.

Some motorheads flocked to the feedback to question whether the HGV was indeed a pretend.

Other customers applauded cops for reprimanding law-breaking drivers.

"Good, I'm uninterested in idiots on their telephones weaving all over," one other stated.

Police are additionally cracking down on drivers using cell phones and driving by using cameras mounted 21ft above motorways.
