Dominic Solanke is a big doubt for Bournemouth's trip to face Burnley in the Premier League on Sunday and can be assessed closer to the match.

The 26-year-old, who has been in wonderful type this season, was a shock absentee from the Cherries' squad for their 1-Zero defeat at residence to Championship leaders Leicester City in the FA Cup fifth spherical.

In the absence of their prime scorer, Bournemouth did not covert any of their 27 photographs in the recreation and have been knocked out of the Cup when Abdul Fatawu netted in the 105th minute of extra-time.

Solanke had been nearly ever-present before Tuesday's defeat, enjoying in all but certainly one of their games – an FA Cup third-round win over QPR.

Whereas supervisor Andoni Iraola doesn't consider Solanke's situation is a big one, he has confirmed that the forward has been fighting a knee grievance.

'Dom wasn't feeling nicely in his knee,' defined the Spanish coach when asked why Solanke missed the defeat to Leicester.

'We've to evaluate him and we hope it's not one thing huge and he may also help us this weekend.'

He added: 'It doesn't look very huge however he wasn't able to be concerned.

'We did an MRI [on Tuesday] so we now have to see what he has.

'We hoped that he could possibly be on the bench [against Leicester] however we assessed him at the final moment and he wasn't feeling nicely.'

The absence of Solanke can be an enormous blow for the Cherries, with the previous Liverpool ahead having netted 14 objectives and laid on three assists this season – the joint-third most objectives within the division.

Bournemouth may be without January recruit Enes Unal for the match, with Iraola adding: 'Enes has gone to the hospital as a result of he felt one thing in the clavicle.

'We've got to see if it's something worse but I feel it is going to be harder to have Enes for the weekend.'
