Callum has now posted videos on TikTok highlighting the state of the roads after claiming to have suffered 10 burst tyres in a yr.

But now bosses at Stoke-on-Trent Metropolis Council have warned the driving force that he might be committing a criminal offense by spray portray the highways.

Cal, from Leek, chatting with the Stoke Sentinel, stated: "I'm sick of the potholes in Stoke-on-Trent.

"There's nowhere worse for them than Stoke – I journey to Manchester, Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds, and different cities across the UK and none of them are as dangerous as in Stoke.

"I've popped 10 tyres in a yr from hitting potholes – especially in unlit areas – as a result of you'll be able to't see them until it's too late.

"I drive a high-performance automotive and the tyres value over £100 each, and the council gained't reimburse me for them.

"I've put claims in up to now but there's no point because each claim takes six months to undergo, they usually often make excuses not to pay out due to 'inadequate evidence', regardless that I've proven photographs and dash cam footage.

"Once I did my first video it had over 76,000 views and a whole lot of individuals commented agreeing with me.

"Stoke-on-Trent Metropolis Council saw it and commented, asking for the places of the roads with the potholes.

"A whole lot of the holes are so deep that they go past your ankles once you stand in them.

"How can we be asked to have MOTs and to pay road tax, and to be protected while driving when the council isn't making the actual roads protected to drive on anyway?

"There's one pothole that's been there for more than 570 days – longer than two Prime Ministers have lasted – it's a joke.

"When the council fills the potholes they should do it correctly too, because half the time they do a quick job and one dangerous day of weather and it's again again."

Councillor Amjid Wazir, cupboard member for metropolis satisfaction, enforcement, and sustainability, stated: "We have now seen the video footage of the person spray portray potholes in the metropolis.

"Anybody caught defacing the highway commits a legal act, and could also be prosecuted.

"Getting into an lively and busy freeway after which standing in the midst of the street is absolutely dangerous, so we urge this individual to stop.

"The suitable and greatest method to report potholes are here: ww.stoke.gov.uk/roadproblems so the staff can prioritise for motion – spraying them does not increase the precedence.

"Extra potholes and cracks naturally type during moist and freezing weather as water gets into the cracks within the street, freezes then thaws inflicting surfaces to deteriorate."

Last yr the government announced the long-term funding of local roads maintenance across England, with the redistribution of £8.3billion of HS2 money.
