Harrowing past of Weezer star's wife revealed after wild shootout with cops
The wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner had a difficult past. Jillian Lauren-Shriner, 51, who married the bassist back in 2005, faced abuse as a child when growing up in New Jersey. In her book Some Girls, about her time spent in the harem of Prince Jefri Bolkiah, youngest brother of the Sultan of Brunei, she recounted how her father would often hit her if she disobeyed. At one point he sat on her as he punched her over and over, she shared in the page-turning book that came out in 2010.
