The '80s rock legend got emotional on Sunday, June 23, as he took the stage after the closing performance of The Heart of Rock and Roll, the musical he produced inspired by the songs of his band, Huey Lewis and The News. PEOPLE was in the audience at the James Earl Jones Theatre in New York City for the occasion.
