The 10 best beaches in the US are revealed - and one of the top three is in New York
Professor Stephen P. Leatherman, whose nickname is Dr. Beach, revealed his list of the 10 best US beaches earlier this month in states like Hawaii, Florida and New York. Dr. Leatherman, a Professor and Director of the Laboratory for Coastal Research at Florida International University, considered factors like the beach's sand softness, its amount of sunny days a year and overall cleanliness into account when creating his annual list.
