Maury Povich Reveals He Was 'Dead Broke' and His Parents Were 'So Worried' About Him Into His 60s
Maury Povich admits he didn't see great success until later in life. During the Monday, April 7, episode of his newly launched podcast, On Par with Maury Povich, the longtime talk show host, 86, told his guest, Canadian former ice hockey player Sean Avery, how old he was when he saw a positive change in his pockets. "You're 44?" Povich asked Avery, who confirmed that was his age. "First of all, I was dead broke at 44," the television personality confessed, leaving the athlete stunned.
